What This Is

Action de Grâce is an annual public gathering centered on the proclamation of Jesus Christ.

Churches gather in one place to worship, to hear the Gospel declared openly, and to stand together in visible unity under His name.

Each church remains rooted in its own leadership, doctrine, and care for its people.

Why Churches Participate

"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all."

— Ephesians 4:4-6

Churches take part in Action de Grâce to:

  • Stand publicly in honor of Jesus Christ
  • Worship alongside other congregations
  • Hear the Gospel proclaimed clearly
  • Invite members into intentional response
  • Bear witness to the unity of the Church

Baptism

Baptisms at Action de Grâce are approached with intention and pastoral care.

Individuals are encouraged to prepare through their local church, with pastors providing guidance, counsel, and oversight.

At the same time, we remain attentive to the movement of the Spirit. When individuals respond in the moment, pastors are present to discern, guide, and shepherd each decision with care.

Every baptism is treated with clarity, understanding, and spiritual responsibility.

Bringing Your Congregation

Churches are invited to:

  • Encourage attendance within their congregation
  • Prepare individuals for baptism (if applicable)
  • Communicate the purpose of the day
  • Ensure alignment with the gathering’s tone and structure

This is participation, not transfer of authority.

The Role of Pastors

Pastors present at Action de Grâce:

  • Shepherd those responding to the Gospel
  • Lead or support baptism where appropriate
  • Provide spiritual oversight and counsel
  • Return with their congregation to continue discipleship

The gathering is momentary. The work of the Church continues
